Three Princetonians chose trusts as a way to give to Princeton's last campaign
Princeton has embarked on a campaign to raise $1.75 billion by June 2012. Aspire: A Plan for Princeton is a comprehensive fundraising effort that seeks gifts to Annual Giving, outright gifts given in support of the priority needs identified by the trustees and President Shirley M. Tilghman, planned gifts, and bequests.
Current priorities and annual gifts are the foundation of the Aspire Campaign. Planned gifts—trusts, pooled funds and gift annuities as well as matured bequests—do count towards the comprehensive campaign goal. Planned gifts counted in the Anniversary Campaign for Princeton (1995-2000), adding more than $200 million to the University's fundraising results.
As you consider your campaign gift to Princeton, please take a moment to read why three alumni—all class volunteers—chose to create a charitable trust in the last campaign.
As Princeton asks all alumni, parents and friends to help it achieve its highest aspirations, we hope that you will take a closer look at how a trust, or other planned gift can help you make a gift to the Campaign.
