Dedication of the Louis A. Simpson Center for the Study of Macroeconomics

On October 19, alumni, faculty, and members of the Princeton community gathered to dedicate the Louis A. Simpson Center for the Study of Macroeconomics, made possible by a gift from Louis A. Simpson *60 P90. The event featured a lecture by former Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke, who was chair of Princeton's Department of Economics, as well as remarks by Janet M. Currie *88, chair of the economics department, and Richard Rogerson, director of the Simpson Center.

In August, the University community welcomed this year's cohort of Bridge Year volunteers--incoming students who have deferred their freshman year to engage in public service projects abroad. Princeton faculty, staff, alumni benefactors, and former Bridge Year participants wished these new Princetonians well as they prepared to embark on their journeys.

Annual Giving Recognizes Volunteer Service before Alumni Day 2015

On Friday, February 20, at the traditional Annual Giving dinner prior to Alumni Day, more than 120 Annual Giving volunteers gathered at the mid-point of the 2014-15 campaign. During the evening, Annual Giving Chair Louise S. Sams ’79 presented several distinguished achievement awards to the leaders of last year's Annual Giving campaign.
