Upgraded facility includes expanded locker rooms and redesigned lobby area.
The Department of Athletics has recently completed renovations to DeNunzio Pool in an effort to modernize and enhance the facility. Construction work began this summer and included upgrading and expanding varsity locker rooms on the pool's lower level and recreational locker rooms on the pool's main entry level, and improving the look of the lobby, vestibule, and concourse areas on the pool's main entry level.
A new gallery case and exhibit wall in the lobby and along the concourse now showcases the many achievements of swimmers, divers, and water polo players at Princeton, past, present, and future. The $1.3 million renovations were generously funded by Friends of Swimming and Diving donors. A new, state-of-the-art scoreboard was also donated by Ralph D. DeNunzio ’53, after whom the pool (constructed in 1990) is named.
