The Freshman Seminar Program

For 25 years, freshman seminars have introduced first-year students to the challenges and rewards of studying complex subjects under the guidance of Princeton’s most outstanding faculty members. These small seminars are based in the residential colleges to encourage interactions over meals and in other informal settings. With their emphasis on small group discussion, research papers, and in-class presentations, they are an invaluable prelude to the independent work of Princeton’s upperclass curriculum.
