The University has begun construction on the new home of the Princeton Neuroscience Institute and the Department of Psychology. Funding for the new facility, which features state-of-the-art labs and classrooms, has come from a group of dedicated alumni.

These are some of the questions addressed in “The Neural Basis of Free Will and Consciousness,” a freshman seminar that combines philosophy and neuroscience and immerses freshmen in the theory and technology of both disciplines.

James S. McDonnell III and John F. McDonnell have joined with the JSM Charitable Trust to make a $30 million gift to Princeton University to establish the McDonnell Center for Systems Neuroscience.
