Earlier this year, Alumni Engagement in the Office of Advancement invited all Princeton alumni to participate in an engagement survey, which included questions about preferences for communications as well as campus and regional events, alumni perceptions of Princeton and the status of alumni relationships with the University.
The purpose of the survey was to bridge the knowledge gap between what the University thinks it knows about its alumni and their relationship with Princeton and what alumni actually value about University engagement. All alumni were invited and more than 11,800 participated.
The survey’s responses debunked some assumptions and revealed evolving perspectives, and the insights gained will inform programming, outreach and stewardship, now and in the future. The University plans to check in via survey every three to four years to understand evolving alumni needs and how we can best meet them.
